A mobile laboratory that spotlights agriculture and related topics will be available for public tours on Tuesday (Aug. 3) at the courthouse square in Coudersport. It will open at 9 am and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 11 am. The Mobile Ag Lab is a project of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. Rhoda Lent is the local coordinator. It will be open to students to perform hands-on agricultural science experiments, as well as to the general public. Lesson topics will include Pennsylvania’s primary commodities, the environment, biotechnology, and food and fiber. The fully-equipped, 32-foot air-conditioned mobile agriculture education science lab was established to provide educational opportunities that promote agriculture, which employs one in five Pennsylvanians.
