Michigan Motorcyclist Dead After Tioga County Crash

Biker died after losing control on oil spilled in roadway

State police at Mansfield say Richard C. Mariles, 47, of Taylor, Mi. was operating his motorcycle east on state Route 362 in Shippen Township, Tioga County around 3 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his bike.

Mariles’ motorcycle skidded when it ran into a portion of the roadway that was covered in universal tractor fluid that had apparently spilled. He was thrown from the bike and hit the road surface.
