Flaggers will be in place Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Friday

KANE – Drivers in the Kane area should be alert for nighttime roadwork in Kane, next Monday to Tuesday and Thursday to Friday.  Milling work will take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sept. 19 to 20. Paving will take place 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 22 to 23. The milling and paving operation will be on Route 6 (Greeves Street) and Route 66 (South Fraley Street) between Chestnut Street and Chase Street.

Drivers need to be alert for flaggers in the roadway overnight Monday into Tuesday and Thursday into Friday. Flaggers will be enforcing an alternating traffic pattern and short travel delays can be expected. All work is weather and schedule dependent.

This work is part of a $4.2 million resurfacing contract covering eleven routes in Elk and McKean counties. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor for this resurfacing project.
