Nurse Midwife joins Women’s Health Services at Charles Cole’s Port Allegany Community Health Center

COUDERSPORT – Jennifer Middaugh, CNM is now accepting patients at the Women’s Health Services office located in Charles Cole Memorial Hospital’s (CCMH) Port Allegany Community Health Center at 45 Pine Street.

Ms. Middaugh joined the CCMH obstetrics and gynecology team of Dr. Celso Backes and Dr. Max Laurore as a certified nurse midwife at the hospital’s Women’s Health Center, last year.

She earned an associate’s degree in nursing at Jamestown Community College, bachelor’s degree in nursing at Jacksonville University and a master’s degree in midwifery from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Before coming to Charles Cole Hospital, she worked as a registered nurse, certified childbirth educator and maternity staff nurse preceptor.

Women of all ages can receive care from Ms. Middaugh. Services include wellness education, prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, gynecologic, menopause and reproductive health care.

Approximately, 265 babies are delivered annually at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.
