NWS Issues TORNADO WARNING, Vortex Detected in Western NY

The National Weather Service has issued a TORNADO WARNING for Chautauqua County in New York State as severe thunderstorms move into the Western New York region.

A short time ago the NWS detected a strong vortex in the storm cell, indicating an imminent tornado.

Residents in that area are urged to seek shelter NOW.
