Offices Up For Election In May 17 Primary Listed On Website

Each township and borough has at least one supervisor/council seat to be filled. Also on the ballot will be auditors, constables and, in Stewardson Township, tax collector.  All three district judge positions in Potter County are up for a six-year term.  Seats are open on each school board in Potter County, as well. County seats being filled this year are sheriff/warden, treasurer, register of wills/recorder of deeds, commissioners (3), auditors (3), and prothonotary/clerk of courts. First day for Republican and Democratic candidates to circulate nominating petitions for the May 17 municipal primary is Feb. 15. Deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation is April 18. Candidates chosen as Republican and Democratic nominees on May 17 will have their names appear on the Nov. 8 municipal election ballot.
