Lycoming County Prison pre-release inmate Timothy Lee Jacobs continued to elude authorities Thursday night, two days after he was last seen running through a field just off Maybee Hill Road in Loyalsock Township.
Jacobs, 33, was involved in a pursuit that began just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday after he failed to show up at his pre-assigned work site, city police said.
Police began chasing Jacobs when he was seen driving his girlfriend’s car on Bloomingrove Road. Jacobs diverted into a field after he ended up going down a dead end road as police were closing in on him. He jumped out of the vehicle and took off running.
He is described as five feet, nine inches tall, weighing 165 pounds with brown hair and last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray tank top, police said.
Police are asking anyone who knows his whereabouts to call 911. Anyone caught knowingly housing the fugitive will be charged with hindering the apprehension of a wanted person, Capt. Raymond O. Kontz III said.
At the time of his escape, Jacobs had four months remaining on a five-month sentence for parole violations stemming from his 2007 conviction for drunk driving and fleeing from police. Read more
