Olean Murder Victim Identified

OLEAN – Police have released the identity of the man who was shot dead just after midnight yesterday morning on South Second Street in the city of Olean.
James Williams, 27, was found dead in his apartment just before 1 am by city police after they responded to reports of shots fired.
Another man jumped through a second story window in what appears to have been an attempt to escape the shooter.
Police have not released the identity of the second man, who was taken to ECMC for emergency surgery.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
