One Dead, One Missing after Bizarre Incident in Blair County
Shots fired at officers after responding to house fire
BLAIR COUNTY – A man is dead and a woman is missing following a bizarre turn of events this morning in Logan Township, Blair County.
Firefighters responded to a call for a fire at a home on Grandview Road at about 2:30 am this morning.
When police officers arrived on scene, someone began shooting at them.
A SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) unit was quickly dispatched to the scene.
Shortly after, while searching in a nearby wooded area, officials found a partially burned body. They believe the body belonged to the man who was shooting at them.
A woman, who also lived in the home, is missing.
None of the officers or fire personnel were reported to have been injured in the incident.
