1 min read

HARRISBURG – A bill that will disallow investing in companies that have ties to Iran and Sudan passed the House Tuesday. The Bill now only needs to pass legal checks before it goes to Governor Rendell’s desk for approval.

Rendell says he’ll sign the bill into law if it passes legal checks.

Senate Bill 928 will require pension boards and the state treasury to divest holdings in companies that do business in Iran and Sudan, which according to Rep. Josh Shapiro, D-Montgomery County, support terrorism and genocide.
