PA House Seats Up for Grabs
Pennsylvania voters will have the opportunity to fill two vacant House of Representatives seats in upcoming special elections scheduled for March. The vacancies were created after Representatives Torren Ecker and Lou Schmitt resigned from their positions following their victories in November’s municipal election. Ecker is now serving on the Adams County Court of Common Pleas, while Schmitt has taken a seat on the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
The special elections will allow constituents to choose new representatives to fill the remaining terms of Ecker and Schmitt. This development is significant, as it will impact the balance of power in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The elections will also provide insight into the current political climate in the state, as voters will have the chance to weigh in on the direction of their local government.
