PITTSBURGH – The director of the Pennsylvania Lottery is apologizing and guaranteeing action after several lottery retailers were told they owed thousands of dollars.
At Center Pizza in Monaca, owners Al and Diane Wenzig were told they owe $11,000 to the lottery.
Since a report by KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin, more than a dozen retailers are reporting the same issues.
“Everybody has to know what’s going on. Everybody thinks they’re crazy because they think that they’re the only one,” Diane said. “Now that it’s come out, now we’re finding out how this is affecting everybody – it’s not just me, it’s a lot of people.”
It looks like state lottery officials are also getting the message.
