PA Man Dead After Hunting Partner Mistakes Him for Turkey

Authorities say Hugh McChord, 53, of Linglestown, Dauphin County, died as the result of a gunshot wound to the neck after an apparent hunting accident.

According to investigators, McChord’s hunting partner, whose name is being withheld, mistook McChord for a turkey and shot him.

No charges have been filed against the unknown shooter.
