1 min readCharles L. Leavitt, 81, of 6706 Beechwood Rd., Truman died at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys on Monday (January 9, 2012) afternoon.
He was born October 2, 1930 in Truman a son of the late Charles and Cecil “Dolly Dill Leavitt.
On March 3, 1949 in Moore Hill United Methodist Church he married Dolores Skillman Leavitt, who Survives.
Mr. Leavitt graduated from Emporium High School. He retired from Philips where he worked for many years. Then he went to work at Caldwell Corporation for over 10 years. He was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and repairing most anything.
Surviving in addition to his wife Dolores Skillman Leavitt; Son: Joseph Leavitt, of Truman; Son: Richard Leavitt and his wife Linda, of Truman; 3 Grandchildren: Mike, Carrie and David; 3 Great-grandsons: Nathan, Aiden and Owen; Brother: George Leavitt and wife Sis, of Austin; and a Sister: Pauline Kelley, of Williamsport.
He was preceded in death by; Sister: Betty Smith Parents: Charles and Dolly Dill Leavitt.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM-11:45 AM, followed by the Funeral Services at 12:00 PM with Rev. Mark Conklin, Pastor, Christian Missionary & Alliance Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Moore Hill Cemetery, Emporium.
