Passing of Madalene H. McCarn, 92, of Genesee

Madalene H. McCARN, 92, of Genesee, PA, died Monday, October 10, 2011 in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.

Born June 15, 1919, in Brookfield, PA, she was the daughter of Clair and Leobelle Paddock Hall.

On December 2, 1944, in Corning, NY, she married Robert R. McCarn, who predeceased her in 1967.  She was employed by the First Citizens National Bank in Genesee.  Madalene was a member of the Genesee United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are:  a daughter, Elizabeth (Jon) Cowburn of Ulysses, PA;  two grandsons, Robb Cowburn of Genesee and Travis (Stephanie) Cowburn of Bradford, PA;  four great-grandchildren, Brooklynne, Alexis, Holden, and Madalene;  a sister, Virginia Tuller of Corning, NY;  a niece, Connie T. (Richard) Shelford of Elmira, NY;  and a nephew, Gary (Susan) Tuller of Friendship, NY.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline M. McCarn in 1972;  and an infant brother, George Hall.

Friends may call Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday in the Genesee United Methodist Church.  The Rev. Deborah L. Watkins will officiate.  Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery.
