1 min readTheodore L.”Porky” PORCZYNSKI, 70, of Genesee, PA, formerly of New Hope, PA, died Friday, September 7, 2012 in the Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.
Born October 28, 1941, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Theodore and Stella Stolarski Porczynski. On June 29, 1963, in Yardley, PA, he married the former Bonita E. “Bonnie” Elias, who survives. A graduate of Arizona State University, he was employed as a manager by US Steel at Fairless Works for 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Genesee and was President of the Wolf Hollow Rod and Gun Club. Ted was an avid hunter, loved history, and was a car enthusiast.
Surviving besides his wife, Bonnie, are: two sons, Tad (Traci) Porczynski of Quakertown, PA and Timothy Porczynski of Orwigsburg, PA; five grandchildren, Victoria, Lukas, Sarah, Seth, and Sofia; a sister, Geraldine Jozwiak of Mokena, IL; and a niece.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Vigil Service will be held 8:00 PM, Friday in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Genesee, PA. The Rev. Joseph Dougherty will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kinney, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
