College students looking for summer employment with PennDOT can now apply online. A Summer Employment Program running from May through August supplements the permanent PennDOT workforce. Those hired would be responsible for working on summer maintenance projects, as well as other duties in PennDOT maintenance organizations and on worksites along state highways.
To be considered for employment, applicants must be enrolled in college full time and be scheduled for classes during the Fall 2012 semester. Candidates must apply online. Deadline for applications is March 2. For more information on PennDOT summer maintenance jobs, go to the website here.
