Pesticide Applicator Program Scheduled March 11 In Smethport

A pesticide update program will be held on Friday, March 11, at the 9-1-1 Center in Smethport at 1 pm. It’s especially geared toward those needing pesticide certification (2 category and 3 core pesticide credits).
Topics will include organic alternatives, invasive plant identification and control, integrated pest management plans, environmental considerations and impact on pollinators. The $15 fee includes refreshments and materials. McKean County Conservation District and Penn State Cooperative Extension are co-sponsors. More information is available at 814-274-8540.
