BRADFORD, Pa. – Amazing outdoor scenes and cinematography to make an outdoor enthusiast’s heart race will be on display Tuesday evening at a preview of the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour coming to Jamestown, N.Y., next month.

The Pitt-Bradford Outdoor Recreation Club is sponsoring a showing of an hour-long compilation preview of the films that will be shown in full at the Reg Lenna Civic Center in Jamestown. The free preview will take place at 8 p.m. March 29 in the Mukaiyama University Room of the Frame-Westerberg Commons.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival and Photography Exhibit will come to Jamestown at 7 p.m. April 12 in the Reg Lenna Civic Center.

The tour is a program of the Banff Center in Alberta, Canada, which began the film festival in 1976. Following each year’s screening of international films featuring the world’s best footage on outdoor subjects such as kayaking, mountain climbing and mountain biking, the best films are chosen to take on tour.

“It’s a little bit of everything outdoors,” said Mick McMillan, advisor for the Outdoor Recreation Club.
