Pitt-Bradford to Offer Short Computer Courses in St. Marys
1 min readST. MARYS – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will hold a series of lunchtime computer courses at the Community Education Council of Elk and Cameron Counties beginning Jan. 21.
Each course will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 201 of the CEC in St. Marys. The courses, which cost $10 each, are sponsored by the Pitt-Bradford Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development.
The first class, which will take place on Jan. 21, will present tips and tricks in using Microsoft Publisher. Participants can learn how to create certificates, banners, flyers, greeting cards, labels and newsletters.
The second class, which will take place on Feb. 18, is “Sneak a Peek at the Internet.” This short class teaches new computer owners how to surf the web and search the Internet.
The last class will take place March 18 and will show users how to set up an e-mail account using the Yahoo search engine. Participants will also learn a few basic e-mail features.
