Pittsburgh Priest Indicted on Child Porn Charges
1 min readPITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh Catholic priest has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges he possessed child pornography.
Rev. Bartley Sorenson was arrested last month after a search of his church office and residence allegedly turned up thousands of images of child pornography on his computer, along with discs, books and photo albums.
Authorities were originally informed of the matter after a church employee reported seeing the priest viewing child pornography.
Church officials can not always be trusted to have our children’s best interest at heart.
So if you have knowledge or have been harmed by Sorenson, please report it to the police, not church officials. These are serious crimes against kids and they should be investigated by the independent professionals in law enforcement. Thankfully he has been indicted by the federal grand jury. This priest needs to be kept away from kids.
Also, know that you are not alone, and there is hope, help, and a chance to protect kids.
