Police Arrest Man Accused of Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins Throughout Potter and Tioga Counties

COUDERSPORT – A Wellsboro man is behind bars after police say he broke into numerous vehicles throughout the local area.
Michael E. Rosenbloom, 42, of 880 Mills Road, Wellsboro, PA, is accused of breaking into several different vehicles across Potter and Tioga Counties.
Coudersport-based State Police say an ongoing investigation in cooperation with New York State Police and State Police in Mansfield, led to Rosenbloom’s arrest on April 4, 2011.
Police say between December 4, 2010 and December 5, 2010, Rosenbloom stole a Marlin 30-30 caliber rifle, an Apple iPod Nano, a Nikon scope, gun case, box of ammo and buck knife from a vehicle belonging to Jason A. Ebert, of Wellsboro, PA.
Rosenbloom has also been charged with stealing:
- an Apple iPod Nano from a vehicle belonging to Sheila R. Blass, of Sarasota, FL, while parked in a driveway on the Loucks Mills Road in Hector Township.
- a Model 870 12-gauge shotgun and JC Higgins .270 caliber rifle, belonging to Karl W. Stephenson, of Middletown, DE, which was parked in a driveway along Loucks Mills Road in Hector Township.
- a Motorola Firemen’s radio, owned by the Genesee Volunteer Fire Department, which was located on Church Street in Genesee.
Rosenbloom was arrested on April 4 and arraigned in front of District Judge Barbara J. Easton, who set bail at $75,000.
Rosenbloom failed to post bail and was remanded to the Tioga County Prison.
