Coudersport resident charged with possession of marijuna

COUDERSPORT – Coudersport-based State Police report that they investigated an incident of drug possession that occurred on September 22 at 154 Mitchell Hollow Road in Eulalia Township, after Potter County Probation officials notified them that Michelle L. Nelson, 32, of Coudersport, who was under their supervision, was in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Court records indicate that a complaint was filed against Nelson in District Judge Annette Easton’s courtroom today for; Marijuana-Small Amount for Personal Use(M) and Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia(M). A Preliminary Hearing will be scheduled.

Driver uninjured in Route 44 rollover

GERMANIA – A Jersey Shore man who was wearing his seatbelt was uninjured after he swerved to miss a deer and subsequently lost control of his 2000 Subura Outback, rolling it over on Route 44 yesterday. State Police report that Richard M. Doebler, 52, of Jersey Shore was traveling North on State Route 44 on Wednesday, October 13 at 7:30 am when he lost control of his car after swerving to miss a deer that entered the roadway.  Doebler was negotiating a left-hand curve in the road at the time. After losing control, his car exited the roadway onto the eastern berm and struck the embankment before continuing approximately 66 feet and then rolling over onto the hood and roof and eventually coming to rest on the driver’s side. Doebler was charged with (not) Driving on Roadways Laned (for traffic). Show Case Auto Body towed the car from the scene.
