Police: Girl Lied about Hit-and-Run in Ulysses
1 min readULYSSES – A 17-year-old female driver will be charged with filing false reports after she allegedly lied about a hit-and-run crash in Ulysses.
Police say the girl told them someone had struck her car while she was inside Kosa’s Kountry Market to hide the fact that she had struck a guardrail on Route 49 earlier that day.
Police say an investigation into the matter revealed the girl had swerved for a deer, and then struck the guardrails before driving to a relative’s home and falsely reporting the hit-and-run in Ulysses.
The girl will be charged with speeding, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicles or property and false reports.
