Police Make Arrest in Stolen Lottery Ticket Case

SWEDEN TWP. – Sweden Township Police have arrested a man in connection to the theft of $3,900 worth of lottery tickets from the Potato City Inn.

Randall C. Duell, age 40, of East Second Street, Coudersport, was arrested after he allegedly admitted to stealing the lottery tickets.

Police say Duell admitted to taking a key and then removing ten packs of lottery tickets from the machine. According to police, Duell scratched off the lottery tickets and redeemed them at various locations throughout Potter and McKean County.

Sweden Township Police say they were assisted in executing search warrants by Austin and Coudersport Boro police departments.

Duell was arraigned and remanded to the Potter County Jail in lieu of $8,000 bail.
