WELLSVILLE — A Wellsville man was surprised when Village Police knocked on his door to arrest him Tuesday morning.
Thanks to two officers who hunt deer, a quick arrest was made after a break-in at Y-Buy-New on Fassett Street. Police found blood at the scene and followed the trail from Main Street right to a door on South Main Street.
Police charged Bradley M. Crandall, 42, of Wellsville with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. He was arraigned in front of Justice James Ames and sent to the Allegany County jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Wellsville Village Police Chief Steven Mattison said someone driving by the store noticed the window smashed in at 8:38 a.m. and they followed the blood trail to 366 South Main Street.
