Medical cannabis legislation is active in PA and residents continue to show strong support. New polling conducted by Franklin & Marshall College saw a full 80% of respondents ‘Strongly Favor’ (53%) and ‘Somewhat Favor’ (27%) legal medical marijuana in Pennsylvania.
The poll was conducted from May 3-9 and included 1,023 residents of the Commonwealth.
Representative Mark B. Cohen introduced The PA Compassionate Use Act in the House on April 29, 2009. The first informational hearings on HB 1393 were held before the House Health and Human Services Committee in December 2009 with medical professionals, patients and advocates offering public testimony.
