Possible Tornado in Chautauqua County
1 min readMcKean County in Pennsylvania and Chautauqua County in New York both saw tornado warnings last night.
Damaging winds from a powerful thunderstorm snapped trees in half and brought down power lines, leaving some 1,000 residents in neighboring New York without power.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department says that although power lines are down in much of the area, there have been no reports of injuries.
The National Weather Service, which detected strong rotation during last night’s storm, is currently investigating reports of a possible tornado in the area.
