Potter County Veterans’ Center Deemed Success By VA
1 min read“So far, so good.” That’s the assessment by the Bath (N.Y.) VA Medical Center for the Potter County Veterans Primary Care Office and Outreach Center. It opened in mid-July and has seen a steady number of military veterans making appointments and receiving service.
The VA is circulating a flyer in an effort to make veterans aware of the services which are offered at the center, which is located at the county’s Maple View property (24 Buffalo Street), just off Rt. 872, south of the Rt. 6 intersection in east Coudersport. The flyer reminds veterans that the VA is a leader in quality care, patient satisfaction and medical technology. More information is available at (814) 260-9342. Appointments can also be scheduled by calling that number.
Current operating hours are every Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. It’s possible that the hours will be expanded in the coming months as more veterans enroll for VA services. The center is staffed by personnel trained to process new enrollments, update patient information, conduct screenings and deliver primary care and/or referrals, depending on each individual veteran’s needs.
