linkMultiple agencies are available to help Potter County’s senior citizens, as well as disabled citizens, but many who could benefit from the services often don’t know where to turn. To make things easier, six of the organizations have teamed up to launch the “Potter Link to Aging and Disability Resources,” which will hold its first public event at 10 am Thursday, April 26, at the Gunzburger Building gymnasium in Coudersport. All senior citizens are encouraged to attend, as are those ages 18-59 who have disabilities.

Potter Link will provide information and assistance covering in-home care services, independent life skills, assistive technologies, advocacy, transportation resources, food and nutrition, employment training, utility assistance, Medicare, rehabilitation services and more. A continental breakfast is available. Speakers will begin at approximately 10:30.

Partnering for Potter Link are Community Resources for Independence of Wellsboro, Life and Independence for Today of St. Marys, Potter County Human Services, Care Unlimited of DuBois, JEVS Supports for Independence of Ridgway, and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Blindness and Visual Services of Erie.
