PPL Asks Customers to up Thermostats

1 min read

PPL Electric is asking customers to up their thermostats and reduce energy consumption as the current heat wave takes it toll on the energy company.

Approximately 4,500 PPL customers have already experienced a loss of power, many of those due to the demand on the power grid from air conditioners and central air systems.

PPL is encouraging people to use less electricity, especially during peak afternoon hours. They say you should set your thermostat to 75 degrees when the temperature is in the upper 90’s.
