Program On Energy, Natural Resources Tuesday Night

A meeting on local energy and natural resource issues will be held Tuesday (Nov. 9) in Smethport at the Courtyard Restaurant on Main Street, starting at 6:30 pm.
Participating in a panel discussion will be Bryan Morley, a Potter County property owner who is using geothermal energy; Mike Hancharick of Kane Hardwood, a company that is leasing acreage for natural gas production; and Smethport Mayor Ross Porter, who is involved with a municipal biomass energy project.
Sponsors are the McKean County Conservation District, Penn State Cooperative Extension and the Farm Service Agency. Cost of $5.00 includes refreshments. Those planning to attend should call 887-5613.
