Proposal To Name Bridges As Memorial To Vietnam Casualties
1 min readFrom Potter County Today
A campaign is underway to name bridges in Austin and Wharton after two local men who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. Last week, the House Transportation Committee approved a measure to rename the bridge carrying Route 607 over Freeman Run in Austin Borough the “Captain Edgar E. Nuschke Memorial Bridge”; and the Rt. 872 bridge over the East Fork of Sinnemahoning Creek in Wharton Township the “PFC Edward Ritsick Memorial Bridge.” Next step is consideration of the measures by the House of Representatives and referral to the Senate.
