Proposed Bill Would Ban Forced Implantation of ID Chips in Humans

1 min read

On Wednesday a PA Senate panel approved a measure that would prohibit individuals from having an identification chip implanted under their skin.

The panel amended the proposal to allow parents the authority to embed an ID chip in their children.  Banning the implantation of ID chips in convicts was also added.

The measure by state Rep. Babette Josephs, D-Philadelphia, was approved without opposition by the state House last June.  The bill now heads to the Senate floor.
