PSP Release Details Preceding Assault on State Trooper
1 min readGENESEE – State Police have released details surrounding the events preceding an assault on Trooper David Burd.
Police say on March 17, 23-year-old Jason M. Teller of Harrison Valley, accompanied by 46-year-old Tina D. Young of Harrison Valley, drove while intoxicated to the residence of Erica J. Bliss, age 28, and Jessica N. Snyder, age 22, both of 3656 Gold Road in the Village of Genesee.
Police say Teller and Young, who were not invited to the residence, began yelling at Snyder and her boyfriend upon arrival. A fight then broke out between Young, Snyder and Teller.
Teller and Young were allegedly asked multiple times to leave but refused.
Police say as a result of the altercation the following charges will be filed:
- Teller – DUI, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, and Harassment
- Young – Criminal Trespass and Harassment
- Snyder – Harassment
An investigation into that matter continues.
Police have also charged Teller with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Unlawful Restraint and Disorderly Conduct, after Teller allegedly attacked Trooper David Burd from behind while in custody for the above incident.
