Redistricting Meets Unexpected Hurdle
1 min readHARRISBURG – We previously reported on the redistricting effort in Pennsylvania and how it will affect readers locally.
While the redistricting plan was believe to be set in stone with official challenges, that has change. The PA Supreme Court has invalidated the plan to redraw district lines with a vote of 4 to 3.
The justices called the plan “contrary to law”, and have sent it back to the Legislative Reapportionment Commission.
The unexpected ruling leaves many questions, as this year’s General Assembly elections approach; those running don’t know where to campaign, because they don’t know who their constituents will be.
