Register now for Winter Pesticide Update Meeting

MCKEAN CO. – The McKean County Conservation District and the Penn State Cooperative Extension are sponsoring a Winter Pesticide Update Meeting being held on Friday, February 24, 2012, at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church Hall, 205 Arnold Avenue, Port Allegany. The session will start at 12:30 PM and is targeted toward those individuals needing pesticide credits.  This afternoon class will offer 3 category and 3 core pesticide credits.

Topics of discussion will include Manure Management & Agriculture Erosion and Sedimentation Control, The Importance of Following the Label and Recordkeeping, Weed Control Update, and Weed Control in No-Till Systems.  There is a $5.00 fee, which includes a light meal and materials.  Participants are asked register by contacting the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office of McKean at 814-887-5613 by February 17, 2012.
