Registration Underway For College Classes Offered Locally

Registration remains open for about a dozen college classes being offered at the Potter County Education Council (PCEC) offices at the Seneca Highlands Vo-Tech School in Port Allegany. Through a partnership with Butler County Community College, PCEC is able to offering a series of three- and four-credit courses. Classes will begin on Jan. 18. Butler County Community College is offering two online degree programs. A business management curriculum leads to an associate in applied science degree. A general studies track leads to an associate in arts degree and is designed to facilitate a transfer to a four-year institution. Spring semester offerings include: business math, human resource management, intro to business, intro to microcomputing, developmental English, developmental reading, English 1, health science, preparatory mathematics, preparatory algebra and general psychology.
