Reminder: Blood Drive Tuesday at Gunzburger Building

Next visit of the Community Blood Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania to the Gunzburger County Office Building (former Adelphia School Building at 1 North Main Street) in Coudersport is scheduled for Tuesday, June 22, from 11 am to 5 pm. No appointment is necessary, but donors may reserve a time by calling Lucinda Weakland at 274-8290, Ext. 207. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health. Photo identification is required. Each donor will receive a complimentary refrigerator magnet.

Blood supplies traditionally dwindle from June through August, due to vacations and other activities taking place during the summer. Each pint of blood donated has the potential to benefit as many as four cancer patients, accident victims, surgical patients or others in need.
