Robert A. “Opa” Adams

Robert A. “Opa” ADAMS, 79, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of
Philadelphia, PA, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in his home.  He was
born July 20, 1932 in Trenton, NJ.  A US Army Korean War Veteran, he
served honorably from 1950 – 1970.  He was married to the former
Marian V. Hogarth, who predeceased him in 2008.  Bob was a member of
Teamsters Local #115 in Philadelphia and American Legion Potter Post
#192 in Coudersport.  Surviving are:  two sons, Robert Adams, Jr. of
Watsontown, PA and William (Debbie) Adams of Cape May, NJ;  eight
grandchildren;  Richard (Jessica) Widmeier, Jr., Deborah (Marshall)
Hamilton, Robert (Tiffanny) Widmeier, David (Nicole) Adams, James
Adams, Gabrielle Adams, Shannon (David) Taylor, and Emily Adams;  and
seven great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, he was
predeceased by a daughter, Deborah D. Widmeier in 2007.  A Memorial
Service for Bob and Marian will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 21,
2012 at the Robert Adams residence on Ellis Hollow Road.  The Rev.
Jason K. Reed will officiate.  Military Rites will be accorded by
members of the Potter County Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the Patterson Cancer Center, c/o Cole
Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA 16915.  Arrangements are entrusted
to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.  Online
