Rock for Character on Thursday in Mansfield
1 min readMANSFIELD, PA— Rock for Character, featuring Sebastian Rivera and Chris Hughes, will be held in Steadman Theatre on Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Rock for Character is an organization that delivers its message about character education through music and media. The organization’s website says, “operating under the premise that most young people listen to music and look up to musicians possibly as much as any other media source, our goal is to visit schools across the nation and connect with students and teach the ‘six strings of character’ (p.a.r.t.t.y.) in addition to other popular messages.”
The six strings of character (p.a.r.t.t.y.) are listed as passion, attitude, respect, trust, thoughtfulness and you.
Earlier in the day there will be several performances for area school children and MU students.

Rock for Character is sponsored by the Passport to the Mansfield’s Creed, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the President’s Task Force on Diversity.
