2 min readCOUDERSPORT – Carl Long, Potter County Republican Chairman announced today that the Romney Bus is scheduled to stop on Main Street, Coudersport at the Hotel Crittenden this Tuesday, September 18th around 2:30 p.m., where Congressman GT Thompson and various Romney campaign staffers will group for a briefing on the local economy and social welfare concerns presently facing Potter County.
“Romney understands that it is going to take open ears, collaboration and compromise if we are going to reverse this struggling economy and decrease our federal deficit,” according to Long. “One of the main focuses of the bus tour is to obtain feedback from the local businesses that drive the economies of small towns across Pennsylvania, as well as from those presently struggling to find work”, added Long.
The Romney Campaign selected the Hotel Crittenden as its meeting location after being informed that “the Crit” represents those long-standing local businesses around the state that are now facing the strongest economic battles of their time. “They were highly impressed when they heard that members of our community joined together to bump up revenues for the Crittenden through the Oktoberfest Buffet event scheduled for October 6th,” stated Karen Cahilly, Potter County Romney campaign chairwoman. “They recognized that it is this type of grassroots spirit that must drive this election,” added Karen.
The Romney Bus Tour briefing is expected to last until approximately 4:00 and is open to the public including voters all party affiliations. Those desiring more information about the Romney Bus should contact Carl Long, Potter County Republican Chairman at (814) 274-8212 or Karen Cahilly, Potter County Campaign Chair at (814) 203-3933.
