Roulette Woman Sentenced for Bad Checks
1 min readCOUDERSPORT – A Roulette woman has been sentenced on charges that she wrote bad checks to two area businesses.
Potter County District Attorney Andy Watson said charges were filed against 35-year-old Denise Dean, of Roulette, after Coudersport police learned that she wrote checks to Newton’s Store and the IGA from a checking account that had been closed in 2009.
Dean was sentenced on March 30 in Potter County court for two separate counts of writing bad checks.
In the first case Dean was sentenced to 3 months of probation, a $50 fine, ten hours of community service and restitution in the amount of $89.43.
For the second bad check Dean was sentenced to 12 months of Probation, concurrent with the above sentence, ordered to perform 10 hours of community service, pay a fine of $75.00 and restitution in the amount of $402.09.
