Route 6 Remains CLOSED

Route 6 between Port Allegany and Smethport remains closed this morning, after a PennDOT truck pull down wires last night around 10:15 pm.

The road is expected to be closed down until at least 9:00 am this morning.

Drivers traveling in the area are encouraged to seek an alternate route.

Update: As of 1:00 pm today Route 6 is still closed. The roadway is expected to be re-opened sometime this afternoon. Some residents in the area of last night’s mishap still remain without power.
