Route 6 Roadwork Continues
1 min readRoad construction crews replaced drainage piping and installed new culverts along East Second St., Route 6 in Coudersport today. They recently replaced water lines along the same stretch of road.
We were told there were possibly plans to construct a new sidewalk along this portion of East Second St., a much needed addition to the neighborhood, which currently does not have a sidewalk. Without a sidewalk residents that live past the Consistory must brave walking along the highway if they wish to walk into town.
The crewman we spoke to did not know for sure about the sidewalk or on which side of the street it would be constructed, if it were. If there are no plans for a sidewalk however, it may prove beneficial for many area residents to consider proposing one.
A side walk there could save lives! That part of the road is a blind spot and there are little children who live in that area.
I would like to see a side walk there!
According to the description of work to be done there is to be a sidewalk. Check out http://www.recovery.org
Thanks for the info. James
I planned on contacting the Boro and State today to find out for sure, but now I see there is no need.
I’ll post the update soon.
Thanks again
