A Save-A-Lot grocery store is scheduled to open Sept. 1 in Kane.
The store– which will be one of 1,200 “value-oriented” outlets in the U.S.– will locate in a North Fraley Street building that formerly housed Buyer’s Fair. A Market Basket grocery store also once occupied the building.
“We believe that Kane area residents will be very pleasantly surprised with our store,” Bill Larson said Wednesday.
He currently operates the Save-A-Lot store in Bradford and will be a partner in the Kane location with John Hedlund, who operates a Save-A-Lot store in Salamanca, N.Y., and with Doug Reeves, who operates grocery stores in Galeton.
