Senate Committee to Hold Hearing on Gas Explosions

ALLENTOWN – The Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Symphony Hall in Allentown to receive testimony about natural gas pipeline safety as a result of the recent natural gas explosions that have occurred in Philadelphia and Allentown.
Those scheduled to testify include:
- Robert F. Powelson, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission
- Representatives of UGI, Utilities Inc.
- Ed Pawlowski, Mayor of Allentown
