Successful Inaugural ‘Clear Water Convention’
1 min readRepresentatives from the watershed associations serving Potter County and many others interested in environmental stewardship in the county’s headwater streams attended the God’s Country Clear Water Picnic Convention last week at the Genesee Environmental Center. Local elected officials joined clean water advocates for an event that mixed public education and fun. Potter County Conservation District and long-time environmental consultant Irvan Brown (shown) assisted with educational displays, including water testing demonstrations. A highlight was the comical cardboard boat races on the center’s pond. Genesee Headwaters Watershed Association hosted the Clear Water Picnic Convention.
