Supreme Court Empowers 2nd Amendment

WASHINGTON – A ruling today by the Supreme Court has empowered an individual’s “right to keep and bear arms.”
The Nation’s High Court ruled in a 5-4 vote that federal, state, and local governments do not have the right to restrict ownership of guns as outlined in the Second Amendment. The ruling furthers a landmark 2008 ruling along the same lines.
Justices did however indicate that ‘less sever restrictions’ on gun ownership would continue unabated by the ruling.
