1 min readTerry A. McConnell, 74, of 2300 West Washington Street, passed away, Friday, January 28th, 2011 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center
Born April 26, 1936, in Limestone, he was the son of the late Roland and Clara (Covert) McConnell.
Mr. McConnell attended schools in Corydon Township and graduated in 1955 from Bradford High School.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired October 31, 1975 after 20 years of Service. During that time he served in Vietnam. After his retirement from the service he worked as a security guard for National City Bank, then Pridet Security at Zippo Mfg. He had also worked at Valu Home Center as a sales associate. He was a member of the VFW Post 212 and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary #157.
Surviving are two children; a son Jeffrey L. Vaughn of Bradford, and a daughter Rhonda Zelepuza of Washington State one brother, Richard “Dick” Covert of Cassadaga, seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation. Friends will be invited to attend a memorial service at a later date to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc. Burial will be in Riverview-Corydon Cemetery.
